Labatt Brewing Company is a Canadian brewery founded in 1847 in London, Ontario by John Kinder Labatt, growing over the following century and a half into one of Canada's largest and best-known brewing companies. Its flagship Labatt Blue became one of Canada's most widely sold beer brands, and the company built a broad portfolio of domestic and licensed international brands. The Belgian brewer Interbrew acquired Labatt in 1995, and its Canadian operations now form Labatt Breweries of Canada, a subsidiary of the multinational Anheuser-Busch InBev, which Interbrew itself became part of through later mergers.
