KFC

KFC is an American multinational fast food chain built around fried chicken, tracing its origins to the Sanders Court and Cafe opened by Harland Sanders in Corbin, Kentucky in 1930 and the first KFC franchise opened with Pete Harman in 1952. Sanders sold the company in 1964, and it is now a subsidiary of Yum! Brands headquartered in Plano, Texas, operating more than 30,000 restaurants across roughly 150 countries, making it the world's second largest restaurant chain by sales after McDonald's. KFC was among the first American fast food chains to expand internationally and was the first major Western restaurant chain to open in China, in 1987, and Colonel Sanders' image remains central to its branding.
