Kamenitza is a Bulgarian beer brand and brewery based in Haskovo, established in 1881 with Swiss entrepreneurial roots in Plovdiv. It is one of Bulgaria's top selling beer brands, producing lager and dark beer varieties under the slogan Mazhete znayat zashto, meaning Men know why, with annual production of around 800,000 hectolitres, and it sponsors the Bulgaria national football team. The brewery was nationalized under communist rule, acquired by InBev in 1995, passed through CVC Capital Partners, and is now owned by Molson Coors.
