Haidilao is a Chinese hot pot restaurant chain founded in Jianyang, Sichuan in 1994 by Zhang Yong with initial capital of 8,000 yuan, and now one of the largest hot pot restaurant brands in the world. Known for elaborate customer service such as complimentary snacks, manicures and hand-pulled noodle performances at the table, the chain operates more than 1,400 restaurants across 18 or more countries and regions, went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2018, and spun off its overseas operations into a separately listed company, Super Hi International, in 2022.
