The Gettysburg Railroad was a railway line in Pennsylvania chartered on March 4, 1851 by Robert McCurdy, Josiah Benner and Henry Myers, which began operating in 1858 over a 17-mile main line connecting Gettysburg to Hanover Junction. It remained independent until 1871, when the Susquehanna, Gettysburg and Potomac Railway acquired it, and its route passed through several corporate successors before becoming part of CSX Transportation's Hanover Subdivision by 1980.
