Ellis Island Casino & Brewery is a family owned casino and hospitality property near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, that began in 1968 when Frank Ellis opened it as a bar and restaurant called the Village Pub. It was renamed Ellis Island in 1985 and began casino operations in 1989, and is now owned by Gary Ellis, distinguishing itself as a family run business rather than a corporate operated casino. The property has 301 hotel rooms, 10,506 square feet of gaming space and several dining venues including the Village Pub & Cafe, Ellis Island BBQ and the Front Yard, which opened in 2019; a brewery operated on site from 1998 to 2022, when it was dismantled for a casino expansion, and craft beer production continues at an affiliated facility in St. George, Utah.
