Eastman Kodak, known simply as Kodak, is an American public company headquartered in Rochester, New York, best known for photographic film products it brought to a mass market for the first time. Founded as a partnership between George Eastman and Henry A. Strong and incorporated in 1892, it held a dominant position in photographic film through most of the twentieth century before struggling financially as photography shifted from film to digital.
