Dunkin', originally Dunkin' Donuts, is an American multinational fast food chain specializing in coffee and doughnuts, founded by Bill Rosenberg in Canton, Massachusetts, opening under that name in 1950 after an earlier shop called Open Kettle. The chain rebranded itself as a beverage led company and shortened its name to simply Dunkin' in 2019, and it now operates more than 14,000 restaurants across 39 countries, with system-wide sales of about 14.5 billion dollars. Dunkin' has been owned by Inspire Brands since its acquisition in December 2020, and its menu also includes bagels, breakfast sandwiches and the doughnut holes it markets as Munchkins.
