DLF Limited is an Indian real estate development company headquartered in New Delhi, and India's largest publicly traded real estate developer by market capitalization. It was founded in 1946 by Chaudhary Raghvendra Singh as Delhi Land and Finance, from which the company's DLF name derives, and it developed some of Delhi's early planned residential colonies before becoming widely known for developing DLF Cyber City and other major commercial and residential projects in Gurgaon, a satellite city of Delhi that grew into a major Indian corporate and information technology hub substantially through DLF's own development activity.
