Danone S.A. is a French multinational food products company headquartered in Paris, tracing its origins to a Barcelona yogurt business founded by Isaac Carasso in 1919 and named Danone after his son Daniel, later merged in 1973 with the French glass and food group BSN before the combined company took the Danone name in 1994. It is one of the world's largest food companies, with major businesses in dairy and plant-based products, bottled waters including the Evian and Volvic brands, and specialized early-life and medical nutrition.
