Crown Pacific Partners, L.P. was a publicly traded timberland and forest products partnership founded in 1988. At its peak it owned about 800,000 acres of timberland, split mostly between Oregon and Washington with the rest in Idaho and Montana, and it operated sawmills, wood chip production and lumber yards across the Pacific Northwest, with sales offices reaching into California, Utah and Arizona. The partnership began trading on the New York Stock Exchange in 1994 under the ticker CRO. It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June 2003 and was dissolved in December 2004, when creditors took over its remaining timberland and formed Cascade Timberlands, LLC.
