Cincinnati Financial Corporation is an American insurance holding company incorporated in Ohio in 1968 and headquartered in Fairfield, Ohio, just outside the city of Cincinnati from which it takes its name. Its principal business is the Cincinnati Insurance Company, which sells property casualty insurance exclusively through a network of independent local insurance agencies across most of the United States, a distribution model the company has maintained since its founding. Cincinnati Financial is counted among the twenty largest property casualty insurers in the United States by market share and also owns a life insurance subsidiary and a commercial leasing and financing subsidiary.
