Cardinal Health, Inc. is an American pharmaceutical and medical products distribution company headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, founded in 1971 by Robert D. Walter in Columbus, Ohio, originally as a food distribution business before shifting into pharmaceutical distribution. It became one of the largest distributors of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies to hospitals, pharmacies and other healthcare providers in the United States.
