Brasil Kirin

Brasil Kirin S.A. was a Brazilian brewery and beverage producer, once the country's second largest after AmBev, tracing its roots to a company founded in 1939 under the name Schincariol. Japan's Kirin Company bought it in 2011 for a combined price of about 3.95 billion dollars, then sold it on to Heineken N.V. in 2017 for 664 million euros. Headquartered in Itu in São Paulo state, it ran 13 breweries producing about 3 billion litres of beer a year under brands including Schin, Glacial, Nobel, Devassa and Baden-Baden, along with soft drinks such as Guaraná Schin and Itubaína.
