Borsod Brewery, known in Hungarian as Borsodi Sorgyar Rt., is a brewery established in 1973 in the village of Bocs near Miskolc in Hungary's Borsod-Abauj-Zemplen County, on a 22,000 square meter site whose construction began in 1969 with an initial output of 874,000 hectoliters a year. It is now owned by Molson Coors Brewing Company and, beyond its flagship Borsodi Sor brand, brews other Hungarian beers as well as international brands under license including Beck's and Stella Artois; a 2005 expansion raised its production capacity to about 370 million liters a year, a 33 percent increase over its previous capacity.
