Fahrzeugfabrik Eisenach was the Thuringian car maker, owned by the Gothaer Waggonfabrik, that built cars under the Dixi marque. In 1927 it signed a licensing agreement with the Austin Motor Company covering the Austin Seven, and its Dixi 3/15 was almost as numerous as all the earlier Dixi models together. BMW bought the firm in October 1928, and the factory went on to build BMW's first cars, the 3/15 in several versions, until BMW gave up the licence in 1932.
