The Austrian Northwestern Railway was a former railway company operating during the era of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. The privately owned Nordwestbahn took over the branch of the Nordbahn from Floridsdorf to Stockerau in 1871 and extended it that year via Hollabrunn and Retz to Znojmo in Moravia. The company owned and operated many important lines in Bohemia and Moravia before it was nationalized; the name is still occasionally used today to refer to the railway line the company once operated.
