Theodore W. Gray, known as Theo Gray, is a co-founder of Wolfram Research, a science author and a co-founder of the app developer Touch Press. He graduated with a chemistry degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1986, left a doctoral program at Berkeley in 1987 to work with Stephen Wolfram, and that year co-founded Wolfram Research, where he created the influential notebook interface for Mathematica. He later left to write and publish full-time, and assembled a wooden periodic table of element samples that won the 2002 Ig Nobel Award for Chemistry.
