Louis Kroh Liggett (1875 to 1946) was an American drug store magnate, born in Detroit, Michigan. He founded the L.K. Liggett Drug Company and then Rexall, and he later served as chairman of the United Drug Company. He was also a member of the Republican National Committee for Massachusetts. In 1936 he toured the United States and parts of Canada aboard the Rexall Train to promote Rexall stores and products. He lived in Brookline, Massachusetts, where he died in 1946, and he was entombed in the Liggett Mausoleum in Newton Cemetery. From 1916 to 1937 he owned a nine acre estate in Chestnut Hill, Newton, which he donated in 1937 to the Archbishop of Boston; it later became the Upper Campus of Boston College.
