Jeffrey Katzenberg (born 1950) is an American film producer and media entrepreneur who rose through Paramount Pictures under Barry Diller and Michael Eisner before becoming chairman of Walt Disney Studios from 1984 to 1994. At Disney he oversaw the studio recovery and the animated run that included The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King, and he brokered the deal with Pixar that led to Toy Story. After leaving Disney he co-founded DreamWorks SKG in 1994 with Steven Spielberg and David Geffen, took responsibility for its animation, and ran DreamWorks Animation as chief executive after its 2004 spin-off until NBCUniversal bought it in 2016. He then founded the investment firm WndrCo and launched the short-form video service Quibi, which closed in 2020 after about six months. He is also known as a prominent Democratic fundraiser.
