Burton Nanus

Burton B. Nanus (born 1936 in New York) is an American academic and Professor Emeritus at the University of Southern California, where he was a faculty member from 1969 to 1994. He earned a Bachelor of Science at the Stevens Institute of Technology in 1957, a Master of Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1959 and a Doctor of Business Administration at the University of Southern California in 1967. Before joining the university he worked at Sperry Rand Corporation, the System Development Corporation and his own consulting firm, Planning Technology, Incorporated, and he is the author of several books including Visionary Leadership (1995) and Leading the Way to Organizational Renewal (1996).
