An American business theorist, executive and management consultant who co-founded the consulting firm Nolan, Norton and Co. in 1975 and later co-founded, with Robert S. Kaplan, the Palladium Group. With Kaplan, he co-created the Balanced Scorecard, first published in the Harvard Business Review in 1992.
