Cathal Gaffney is an Irish animation executive and a co-founder of the Dublin studio Brown Bag Films. According to the studio's own history page, he and Darragh O'Connell dropped out of college in 1994, borrowed two thousand pounds and founded the company, whose first production was a series for the Irish broadcaster RTE satirising the author Peig. He later served as chief executive of Brown Bag Films, and after the studio became part of 9 Story Media Group he was appointed chief operating officer of that parent company. The description rests on the studio's published timeline, which names him as founder, chief executive and group chief operating officer.
