Usage and Access-Based Models

Named models in which the customer pays for temporary use of, or access to, an asset rather than acquiring outright ownership of it, including renting a physical asset with an option to eventually own it, buying a fixed period of shared use of a property, and bundling a physical product with an ongoing service relationship. Belongs here: any model whose defining act is temporary use or access to a specific asset. Does not belong here: an ongoing digital subscription with no single underlying physical asset, grouped under Subscription and Recurring-Access Models.
