The Yanmar 2GM20 is a series of small inboard marine diesel engines built by the Japanese company Yanmar Co. Ltd., mainly used to power sailboats and motorboats. It is a four-stroke, water-cooled, two-cylinder engine with a 75 millimeter bore and 72 millimeter stroke, giving a displacement of about 0.635 liters, and it produces roughly 16 horsepower using a proprietary swirl-type pre-combustion chamber for compression. The engine comes with a 12 volt starting motor and a 55 amp alternator and weighs about 114 kilograms. Yanmar eventually discontinued the 2GM20 in favor of the newer 3YM20 series.
