Tesla Robotaxi

Tesla Robotaxi is an autonomous ride-hailing service operated by Tesla, Inc. using vehicles equipped with the company's Full Self-Driving software. The service began limited operation in Austin, Texas, on June 22, 2025, and expanded to Dallas, Houston and Miami, reaching roughly 135 vehicles operating across those cities by December 2025. Tesla plans to add its purpose-built two-seat Cybercab alongside the Model Y vehicles already used in the service, with eventual expansion to the Model 3, Model S, Model X and Cybertruck; the rollout drew a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation after documented incidents including driving on the wrong side of the road, phantom braking and traffic violations.
