Cannabis concentrate

Cannabis concentrate, also called marijuana extract or cannabis extract, is a concentrated form of tetrahydrocannabinol or cannabidiol with potency far above ordinary cannabis flower, commonly reaching THC levels of 40 to over 90 percent against roughly 20 percent in typical flower. Producers extract it using solvents such as ethanol, butane, propane or hexane, which carry fire and explosion risks, or using supercritical carbon dioxide, a safer method that still yields a high quality product. Forms sold under this name include shatter, wax, budder, crumble, hash oil, distillate, hashish, kief, live resin made from fresh or flash frozen plant material, tinctures and terp sauce, and in states where it is legal these products are typically sold in small, lip balm sized containers.
