Builders hardware

Builders hardware is the group of metal fittings used in buildings for protection, decoration and convenience. It does not form any structural part of a building. Instead it supports fixtures such as windows, doors and cabinets and helps them work. Typical items are door handles, door hinges, deadbolts, latches, house numerals, letter plates, switch plates and door knockers. The fittings are commonly made of brass, steel, aluminium, stainless steel or iron. Well known suppliers of builders hardware are mainly found in China, India and Mexico, with some in the United States.
