Roland Mack

Founder and Executive

Roland Mack (born 12 October 1949) is a German entrepreneur best known as the founder of Europa-Park in Germany, which he started in 1975. He grew up in Waldkirch as the son of the entrepreneur Franz Mack, and was born in Freiburg. His work has drawn recognition from the leisure and themed entertainment industry: in November 2011 the IAAPA appointed him King of Fun, and in April 2023 the Themed Entertainment Association gave him its TEA Thea Award, with a Buzz Prize Award honouring his life's work, his standing as an outstanding entrepreneur and his commitment to the industry. The sources describing his career call him the boss of Europa-Park, and a 2008 report records him joining the IAAPA board. He is married to Marianne Mack, whom he wed in 1974, and has two sons and a daughter.
