Robert Ng Chee Siong (born 1952) is a Singaporean billionaire businessman and, since 1991, chairman of the Hong Kong property development conglomerate Sino Group. He is the eldest son of the Singaporean real estate billionaire Ng Teng Fong, and Forbes listed the two together among the richest people in the world in 1997. In 1995 he became chairman of Yeo Hiap Seng, a Singapore-listed food and beverage company, while his family built its stake, and with his father he went on to win control of the firm in what the source calls one of the most colourful take-over struggles in Singapore history, turning it from a food company into a luxury real estate developer. He chairs Sino Hotels and Tsim Sha Tsui Properties, the parent company of Sino Land, and has chaired the Singapore Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong since its start in 1995. His career also includes the 1987 futures-trading losses that preceded the collapse of the Hong Kong Futures Exchange, an episode the source describes along with the bailout that followed. He is an honorary fellow of Somerville College, Oxford.
