Dennis Kozlowski

Founder and Executive

Leo Dennis Kozlowski, born November 16, 1946 in Newark, New Jersey, is an American businessman who served as chief executive of Tyco International. In 2005 he was convicted of crimes connected to 81 million dollars in bonuses he received without authorization, the purchase of 14.725 million dollars in art, and a 20 million dollar investment banking fee Tyco paid to a former company director. He served more than six and a half years in New York state prison before his release in 2014, and a separate lawsuit brought by Tyco led a court to find that roughly 500 million dollars in compensation and benefits he received while found to have been disloyal to the company must be forfeited back to it.
