Orbia

Orbia, formerly known as Mexichem, is a Mexico City headquartered company founded in 1953 that provides specialty products in agriculture, building and infrastructure, fluorinated solutions, polymer solutions and data communications. It began as Cables Mexicanos, S.A., selling high carbon steel wire ropes, before undergoing several name changes and restructurings and being rebranded as Orbia in 2019, a name drawn from the Latin word for sphere combined with Bia, the ancient Greek personification of force.
