Dow Inc. is an American chemical company headquartered in Midland, Michigan, the current corporate form of a chemical business founded there in 1897 by Herbert Henry Dow as the Dow Chemical Company. Its modern structure dates to 2019, when it was spun off as an independent, separately listed company following the 2017 merger of Dow Chemical and DuPont and that combined company's subsequent split into three companies, and Dow remains one of the world's largest chemical manufacturers, producing plastics, industrial chemicals and materials.
