Compass Minerals International, Inc. is an American producer of salt and specialty plant-nutrition minerals headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, one of the largest salt producers in North America. The company supplies highway deicing salt as well as consumer and industrial salt products, and it also produces potash-based specialty fertilizer for agriculture. Its operations include the Goderich mine in Ontario, Canada, one of the largest underground salt mines in the world, along with other mining and solar evaporation facilities across North America and the United Kingdom.
