Saldanha Steel is a South African steel company originally formed as a partnership between Iscor Limited and the Industrial Development Corporation, with its mill commissioned in 1998 on South Africa's Cape west coast near Langebaan Lagoon. Designed to produce 1.25 million tons of hot rolled carbon steel coil annually, the plant became part of ArcelorMittal South Africa, a subsidiary of ArcelorMittal, and was shut down and mothballed in 2020, resulting in 1,500 job losses.
