CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. is a Mexican multinational building materials company founded in 1906 by Lorenzo Zambrano Gutierrez and headquartered in San Pedro Garza Garcia, near Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. It manufactures and distributes cement, ready mix concrete and aggregates in more than 50 countries, operating 64 cement plants, 1,348 ready mix concrete facilities, 246 quarries, 269 distribution centers and 68 marine terminals across four continents. As of 2020 it ranked as the fifth largest cement producer in the world, generating 87.09 million tonnes annually, and in the 2021 Forbes Global 2000 ranking it placed 1,178th among public companies with more than 13 billion dollars in annual sales.
