KLA Corporation is an American semiconductor equipment company headquartered in Milpitas, California, formed in 1997 through the merger of KLA Instruments and Tencor Instruments as KLA-Tencor, later shortened to KLA Corporation in 2019. It makes process control and yield management equipment used by chipmakers to detect defects during semiconductor manufacturing, and is one of the leading suppliers of inspection and metrology tools to the industry.
