Webber Wentzel

Webber Wentzel is a major South African law firm headquartered in Johannesburg, founded in 1868 in Fort Beaufort. It is one of the country's Big Five law firms and, unusually among them, remains organized as a traditional partnership rather than a limited liability company. As of 2015 the firm had more than 450 attorneys and over 800 employees across offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town, and since February 2013 it has operated in a collaborative alliance with the global firm Linklaters; it merged with Cape Town firm Mallinicks in 2008 to take its current form and holds Level 1 Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment contributor status.
