The Reader Railroad was a five-mile tourist-only railroad company operating in Reader, Arkansas, from 1973 to 1991. As a 23-mile common carrier before May 1973, it was the last all-steam-locomotive-powered, mixed-train railroad operating in North America. It ran trackage in Ouachita County and Nevada County, Arkansas, and its tourist operation ended in 1991 when it could not meet new federal safety regulations.
