Yadkin Valley Railroad is the trade name of the Piedmont and Atlantic Railroad, a shortline railroad company operating two lines leased from the Norfolk Southern Railway out of Rural Hall, North Carolina, covering a distance of 93 miles. The railroad began operating in 1989 and is currently a subsidiary of Gulf and Ohio Railways.
