The Philadelphia and Erie Railroad was a railroad that operated in the state of Pennsylvania between 1861 and 1907, originally chartered in 1837 as the Sunbury and Erie Railroad Company and headquartered in Philadelphia. It operated 307 miles of standard gauge track before being merged into the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1907.
