Fulton Chain Railroad (Peg Leg)

The Fulton Chain Railroad, known locally as the Peg Leg, was a private narrow gauge railroad company in the Fulton Chain of Lakes region of New York state, connecting Moose River to Minnehaha. Built in 1888, the line ran only during the summer months, carrying vacationers to the lakes, before it ceased operating in 1892. Details of the company's ownership are sparsely documented, surviving chiefly through an 1890 entry in Poor's Directory of railroads.
