Toledo and Ohio Central Railway

The Toledo and Ohio Central Railway was a railway company operating in the U.S. state of Ohio from 1885 to 1952, formed from the earlier Atlantic and Lake Erie Railroad, Ohio Central Railroad, Columbus and Sunday Creek Valley Railroad, and Zanesville and Western Railroad. The New York Central System leased the company in 1928 and purchased it outright in 1938, ultimately absorbing it as the Toledo and Ohio Central Railway ceased independent operation in 1952 and became part of the New York Central Railroad.
