The Hocking Valley Railway was a railroad in Ohio, reorganized in 1899 from the Columbus, Hocking Valley and Toledo Railway, with a main line connecting Toledo to Athens and Pomeroy by way of Columbus. It carried freight and passengers, with branches serving the coal mines of the Hocking Valley near Athens, and at its peak in 1925 operated 349 miles of road. The Chesapeake and Ohio Railway acquired control in 1910 and merged the company into the C&O in April 1930.
