Savannah and Northwestern Railway

The Savannah and Northwestern Railway was a railroad in the U.S. state of Georgia, taking that name in 1914 after operating since 1906 as the Brinson Railway, named for owner George M. Brinson. It was built to connect Savannah to Sylvania, Georgia, with service reaching Newington by 1909. The company's property was sold to the Savannah and Atlanta Railway on July 16, 1917, and the successor company continued operating passenger and freight service between Waynesboro and Savannah until 1959.
