The Wrexham, Mold and Connah's Quay Railway (WM&CQR) was a British railway company incorporated in 1862 to build a line from Wrexham to Buckley, continuing to the Chester and Holyhead main line via the Buckley Railway, which it later bought outright. Built primarily to carry coal and brickworks products from the Buckley area, the company secured powers in 1866 to run passenger trains as well, though these were rarely used beyond occasional excursions to Rhyl.
