The Welsh Highland Railway is a restored narrow-gauge heritage railway company operating in the Welsh county of Gwynedd, running a 25 mile route between Caernarfon and Porthmadog. The line passes through popular tourist destinations including Beddgelert and the Aberglaslyn Pass, and connects at Porthmadog with the Ffestiniog Railway and the separate Welsh Highland Heritage Railway. At Porthmadog it uses the United Kingdom's only mixed gauge flat rail crossing.
