The Avon and Gloucestershire Railway was an early mineral railway built to carry coal from pits in the Coalpit Heath area northeast of Bristol, England, to the River Avon opposite Keynsham. It operated from 1830 to 1904 using horse-drawn wagons to move coal to the riverside for onward shipment.
