Ukrainian Railways, formally PAT Ukrzaliznytsia (UZ), is a state-owned joint-stock company that administers railway infrastructure and rail transport across Ukraine, holding a monopoly over most of the country's rail transportation. It is the world's sixth largest rail passenger transporter and seventh largest freight transporter. As of 2020 its broad-gauge network ran 19,787 kilometres, the thirteenth largest such network in the world, and the company has been extending standard-gauge track to improve connections to the European Union.
