Tyco International

Tyco International was a security and fire protection company founded in 1960 by Arthur J. Rosenberg, incorporated in Ireland with operational headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey. It grew through acquisitions such as AMP Inc. in 1999, and in 2002 its chief executive Dennis Kozlowski and chief financial officer Mark Swartz were accused of stealing more than 150 million dollars from the company, with convictions following in 2005 after an earlier mistrial. Tyco split into three independent public companies in 2007, and the remaining Tyco International merged into Johnson Controls on September 9, 2016, ending its existence as an independent company.
